Many wildfowlers have attempted to capture the spirit of the marsh on canvas but few have succeeded quite like Ian Phipps. His ability to convey the wild and enchanting marshes is uncanny. Since the age of twelve, when a local 'fowler invited him to spend the afternoon wildfowling on the saltmarsh in the Medway estuary, Ian has been spellbound by the North Kent Marshes landscape and wildlife. Ian has painted most of the KWCA shooting grounds as well as other wildfowling areas around the country that he has visited, including Norfolk and Scotland. In 1988 Ian won first prize in a painting competition run by The BASC. Ian has a number of original paintings which are for sale, to view these click here.
